Masil SF 201 is a vinyl-terminated silicone polymer that may be heat-cured or room-temperature-cured (RTV). It is normally cured with 2 to 4% by weight of Masil XL-1 Crosslinker system and a catalyst at 20 ppm that must be incorporated into the polymer, not the crosslinker. This polymer vulcanizes via an addition reaction and does not produce volatile gases during curing. Masil SF 201 can be used as the base polymer in silicone elastomers to provide a non-corrosive protective shield against water, dirt, and other harmful contaminants in mold-making rubber and electrical/electronic encapsulation applications.
