Masil Ultra MF 8200 is a self-curing silicone multifunctional emulsion. It imparts Adhesion, Hydrophobicity, Dirt Pickup Resistance, Early Hardness, and Increased Slip / Mar Resistance in the coating film.
Masil Ultra MF 8200 has been proven useful as a slip and anti-mar additive for water-based inks and coatings. It imparts low-temperature flexibility and improved adhesion for coatings on film and foil. For protective and industrial maintenance coatings, especially DTM’s based on latex, improved adhesion on CRS and Al has been demonstrated. Coatings formulators can improve mar resistance, dirt pickup resistance, and easy cleaning functions. For wood coatings formulations, the product imparts mar resistance and water beading effects. Release coatings, durable mold-release, and anti-graffiti coatings can be formulated using the emulsion as a base vehicle.

For architectural and industrial coatings formulations, conduct a ladder study adding between 1 wt% and 5 wt% to impart the desired multifunctional benefit.
For ink and overprint varnishes, Masil Ultra MF 8200 should be added at 0.5 to 1.0% wt. to impart slip, anti-mar, internal release, and flexibility.
Masil Ultra MF 8200 is stable at 1 part up to 100 parts water. Dilution stability at any concentration is excellent for an extended period of time, provided water hardness and impurity levels do not exceed 200 ppm.
